Grounded Cultivation is an independent editorial and directory for Australia's outdoor cannabis and hemp cultivation sector. It's for farms growing in the ground, in their native soil, and for the consultants and suppliers who work alongside them.
Who's behind it
Cal North has spent their career in outdoor and licensed cultivation: lead cultivator at Cann Group in Mildura, time at ECS Botanics, Australia's first licensed outdoor farm, and building a full cultivation operation from scratch at Cannai. Along the way Cal has visited most licensed grow operations in the country.
Cal holds a Bachelor of Science/Commerce from La Trobe University, WSET Level 2 and a Permaculture Design Certificate.
What we cover
Soil, land, climate, people, practice, infrastructure and research. We don't cover finished crops, brands or access to medicines.
